I have seen Ed Lingan use this method in the classroom and I have watched his students use the method in their classroom presentations. It is quite amazing seeing students prepare so well and be so articulate in the classroom! I truly makes for a dynamic classroom.

Thanks for this, Ed. I particularly appreciate the pedagogical move away from outlining. I’d also recommend looking at Edward Tufte for his thoughts on the effective use of visuals and presentation of data. Tufte similarly thinks there’s little room for “text” in PowerPoint.

Thanks for the Edward Tufte lead, Jean. I’ll look into that.
